Comotec Indústria e Comércio Ltda. was constituted by the initiative of four founders that with their technical knowledge, administrative capacity, commercial know-how and proven experience in the market, glimpsed the creation of a company that would fulfill the demand of commutators for electrical motors in the national market.

Therefore, what used to be an idea, started coming to life in 1998, through the acquisition of the first equipments and machines that were installed in a 1.200m2 area, in Americana, 120km from São Paulo.

After a short period from the homologation with the clients, the first collaborators were hired and the productions started. In July 1998 the Comotec´s commercial activities had been initialized.

With a lot of work and responsibility, Comotec, began to establish itself and settle down as a highly technical potential company, known by its clients as a standard of quality and commitment. For the consolidation of its commitment with quality and satisfaction concerning its market wishes, Comotec has developed its own warrant quality system that deserved a quality system certificate in December in 1999.

Gradually, the company conquered its participation in the national market and by the end of 2000, it had already occupied an outstanding position, taking care of practically half of the market’s demand.

In the following years, besides the Brazilian electrical crises and the world’s economy’s reflex due to the terrorist attacks in the US, Comotec went on with its own growth rhythm up to the point that its installations and improvement had become essential, causing in the end of 2003 its transference to the current headquarters, placed in Santa Bárbara D’Oeste, neighboring city to Americana, where it found better conditions that made possible better and more functional installations.

That change occurred in a very propitious moment, because the market had started to demand bigger quantities of commutators and Comotec answered appropriately that demand, reassuring even more its partnership with clients and its outstanding position in the market.

Today, the company is the only manufacturer of electric commutators in the country, selling over 15 million commutators per year.

Comotec recognizes that through the actions taken at present that is, reaching for its goals and objectives, it will have a better future, being important representation in our society.
